Providing on-campus coaching and extending study resources, the project eliminates the need for students to travel or pay for expensive coaching classes, directly addressing financial and accessibility barriers.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

There is a significant gap in the availability of quality IAS coaching for many students, particularly those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who reside on campus. Traditional coaching institutes are often expensive and located far from the campus, creating accessibility issues.

A survey conducted among the campus residents indicated that 70% of the students interested in civil services felt unprepared due to lack of access to quality coaching. Additionally, 60% cited financial constraints as a major barrier to enrolling in external coaching programs.

The lack of access to quality coaching diminishes the chances of talented but underprivileged students competing effectively in the IAS exams. This perpetuates socio-economic disparities and limits the representation of diverse backgrounds in the civil services.

Tamil Nadu has a lesser share of Civil servant owing to the lack of strategic training and capacity programs for aspiring civil servants.

With the change in social-cultural contexts and demography, MCC has to appropriate the strategy to conserve its legacy.
